Shell Omala S2 GX 680 Industrial Oil is a high quality extreme pressure (EP) oil designed primarily for the lubrication of heavy-duty industrial gears. The combination of a high bearing capacity and protection against loss of accuracy as well as compatibility with seals and paints offers superior performance in closed gear applications.

Long oil life – Save on maintenance. Shell Omala S2 G lubricants are formulated to resist thermal and chemical damage during maintenance intervals. They withstand high thermal loads and resist sludge formation to provide extended oil life capability, even with bulk oil temperatures up to 1000C in certain applications.
Excellent wear & corrosion protection. Excellent load carrying capacity reduces tooth and bearing wear on steel components. Shell Omala S2 G has excellent corrosion protection, protecting steel components, even in the presence of contamination by water and solids.
Maintain system efficiency. Shell Omala S2 G oil has excellent water separation properties, so excess water can be easily drained from the lubrication system to help extend gear life and ensure efficient lubrication of contact areas. Water can greatly accelerate the fatigue of the surfaces of gears and bearings and increase the corrosion of iron on internal surfaces. Therefore, water pollution should be avoided or eliminated as soon as possible after its occurrence.
